Ceiling Fans

Ceiling Fans

Traditionally ceiling fans have been used to try and improve internal environments by providing air circulation. However, these ‘traditional’ fans are highly inefficient at achieving this. The range ceiling fans are limited to is only a few metres from where the fan is installed because the flow of air is allowed to spread and disperse before it can have much effect. This means that unless you are positioned directly below a ceiling fan you will not benefit from any improved conditions.

The Airius destratification system however, does have a marked effect. By sending air in a tight moving column it allows the air to travel much further, circulating around the entire internal space balancing air temperatures and improving air quality.
By equalising the air temperature from floor to ceiling you will also make substantial savings on your heating and cooling costs, in some cases clients heating and cooling costs have been reduced by 50%. This also means that you will be reducing your carbon emissions, so much so that installations can be eligible for interest free energy efficiency loans from the Carbon Trust.
