Gym environments, where groups of people are in close proximity, equipment is shared between numerous people and heavy breathing takes place as a result of aerobic exercise, present a high-risk environment for the transmission of COVID19. In order to ensure the safety of their members and staff Energie Fitness turned to Airius and the PureAir air and surface purification solution.
After an initial consultation with the Airius design team a series of PureAir units were specified for the facility, accompanied by a series of standard Airius destratification fans. This widened the stand-alone coverage of the PureAir units by using additional fans to circulate the PureAir’s active cleaning agents throughout the Gym space. Speed controllers were also included to control airflow speed.
